Home so distant yet was near to the Patriarchs
For the constant watch and communication of the I am.
A city to come.
Home of rest, peace, worship and joy
Joy of the Lord was the patriarchs strength.
Strength that endured all seasons of life
Life lived on God’s promises and faithfulness
They believed to see face to face With the I am at home.
Home: the relentless call of the lost to come.
Come follow him who is gone ahead
Ahead we look and his foot prints we follow.
Following a passage with no many guides but one master.
Master’s presence stirs us sing, rejoice, praise and worship
on our way home.
A city to Come.
His spirit in us and a gift of faith for the straight course.
A course so straight that straighten our lives.
A city to come.
Exercising the love of Christ on the narrow path.
Path so slim to cause suffering.
Suffering that keeps bold soldiers in the center path to endure
Enduring they are strengthened by the encouragement of the word.
Word as mana to us, we nourish everyday.
Everyday we make gigantic steps.
Steps like babies eager to walk the world stired by applauses.
A city to come.
Wilderness, mountains, valleys seas and rivers to cross.
Crossing, still distant from home.
A city to come.
With compassion he feeds us with fish and bread to renew our strength.
We shall “mount up with wings like eagles”.
“We shall run and not be weary;
shall walk and not faint.”
“Fighting the good fight of faith”.
And finishing the race of life!
